Natural disasters cost companies billions each year and much of this loss is preventable. In an FM Global survey, 96% of Financial Executives agreed that their operations were exposed to catastrophes like hurricanes, floods and earthquakes… but fewer than 20% said their organisations were “very concerned” about this. Why do so many businesses flirt with disaster? Can human psychology explain this? And what steps should business take?
